Position Summary | Appointment Status: Non-Tenure Track Department: IU Bloomington School of Public Health, Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics Position Summary: The Indiana University School of Public Health-Bloomington invites applications for a post-doctoral fellow with strong quantitative skills to join a team of researchers focused on statistical brain imaging and its applications in the study of mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI), addictions, and neurodegeneration. The fellow will work with Dr. Jaroslaw Harezlak and his collaborators at Indiana University and Purdue University. This project presents unique opportunities for gaining research experience and working on internationally impactful projects with a dynamic interdisciplinary team. The term of appointment is one year, with potential for renewal by mutual agreement for up to an additional two years. The candidate is expected to begin during the Summer/Fall 2023, but the start date may be flexible. The salary and benefits are competitive and include funding for conference-related participation and continuing education courses. Responsibilities: Methodological research on the statistical brain imaging Applied statistical analyses of the brain imaging data with focus on brain connectivity research and its applications in areas of mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI), addictions, and neurodegeneration. Basic Qualifications | Qualifications: Degree: Ideally a PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, Computer Science, Informatics or Biomedical Engineering, but applicants with strong statistical skills holding a PhD from another quantitative discipline will also be given consideration. Communication skills: Excellent written and spoken communication skills essential. Social skills: Good collaborative skills, ability to work well with a variety of scientists. |
