Post-doctoral Fellow/ Research Scientist
Job Description
The laboratory of Dr. Samikkannu Thangavel in the School of Pharmacy at Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, seeks a talented and motivated post-doctoral research fellow and Scientist. The NIH-funded project focuses on epigenetic mechanisms in NeuroAIDS/Drugs of abuse impact neuronal dysfunction using in vitro, ex vivo, in vivo, and organoid models. The lab needs two positions:
i. Post-doctoral scholars who recently completed their graduate program and wish to pursue academic research and
ii. Experienced postdocs are eligible for scientific positions.
Successful Post-doctoral candidates with solid knowledge and strong skills in neuroscience, genetics, and cell and molecular biology are strongly encouraged to apply. Scientist candidates have strong expertise in neuroscience, immunology, cell and molecular biology, direct knowledge in next-generation sequencing, ChIP seq, and ChIP tag assays, and experience with omics research, including single-cell genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics-related analysis.
Successful applicants will hold a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Genetics, Cell and Molecular Biology, or a related field.
