Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research position in Operations Research at the Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon University to start in Summer 2023. This will be a two-year appointment.

 

The successful candidate will be working closely with Dr. Benjamin Moseley, Carnegie Bosch Associate Professor of Operations Research on an externally funded project. The project will focus developing mathematical models and optimization algorithms for problems arising in ship and vehicle scheduling.

 

Background:

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Operations Research, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline completed by June 2023 at the latest. The ideal candidate is expected to create and enhance cross-campus research activities and, possibly, to contribute to the school's course offerings at the doctoral level.
