Position Summary
A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Laura Snell at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana. Potential projects involve the study of CD4 T cell exhaustion and re-invigoration by immunotherapy (see Snell et al. Nat Immunol. 2021), determining the mechanisms by which CD4 T cells enhance immunity and accelerate clearance of chronic infection (see Snell et al. Cell Reports 2016), and elucidating how the immunosuppressive environment generated by chronic viral infection alters subsequent immunity to secondary infections and vaccines (see Snell et al. Immunity 2018).
The candidate will work directly under the mentorship of Dr. Laura Snell. Techniques and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Using BSL-2 murine models to study chronic viral infection and secondary infections/vaccinations
