Job Summary
The Deak Immunoengineering Laboratory in the Chemical and Biological Engineering Department at Drexel University is seeking a talented postdoc for a NIH funded project on Immunoengineering of HIV therapeutic vaccines beginning in December 2023.
This is an opportunity for candidates to gain experience in viral characterization and immunology, working closely with a biochemist and immunologist.
Essential Functions
- Designing HIV targeted vaccines, requiring chemical synthesis, characterization, and evaluation.
Required Qualifications
- PhD or Doctorate in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Biochemistry or Immunology
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with biochemical synthesis.
- Prior research experience, especially with cell culture, nanomaterial synthesis, immunological assays or molecular biology.
Physical Demands
- Typically sitting at a desk/table
- Typically standing, walking
