Supervises and coordinates service learning and community engagement efforts in support of faculty, staff, and student needs, including the needs of students with disabilities. Creates and implements leadership programs, supervises and coordinates recruitment for student organizations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Interviews and hires note takers, readers, mobility assistants and coordinates their schedules with disabled students being assisted
Creates club and organization packets for protocol
Provides guidance to student organizations
Assists with overall recruitment and marketing
Trains and develops student leaders
Develops, promotes, and implements service projects
Assists faculty and students in developing service learning projects
Acts as a liaison between faculty, students, and community agencies
Recruits organizations to partner with the college in service projects
Assists with students in service learning orientation
Participates in community outreach programs
Coordinates and provides guidance to student leadership of various clubs and organizations
Acts as a liaison between students and university representatives (TACRAO contact for NE campus)
Coordinates major festivals that bring in local businesses as well as universities
Schedules tours and tour guides for both high schools and NSGA orientation tours
Meets with student and faculty groups to plan activities
Evaluates programs and suggests modifications
Schedules events to prevent overlapping and coordinates activities with various programs
Acts as liaison between students, faculty, staff, administration and representatives of community agencies working with the disabled
Contacts agents, performers, companies, or others to arrange dates for activities
Makes on campus and/or off campus arrangements for rooms, places, equipment and other physical set ups for activities
Promotes student participation in social, cultural, and recreational activities
Coordinates preparation and publishing of student affairs calendar
Assists in planning and implementing student activities and health center programs
Publicizes the Service Center for the Opportunity to Overcome Problems program
Maintains records and reports including inventory record
Schedules tours and tour guides for both high schools and NSGA orientation tours
Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation and creativity and service to the College
Supports the mission, values and 3 goals and 8 principles of the College

Required Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree or 60 college hours
Two (2) years of experience providing service to the public
Two (2) years of experience providing service to the public
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supervising employees (e.g., managing and evaluating performance of others)
Experience planning, publicizing and implementing a variety of programs
Experience planning, publicizing and implementing a variety of programs
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Experience with computerized systems
Knowledge of various types of diverse student issues and how they affect a students participation in campus activities
Ability to enthusiastically communicate with and relate to the community college student

Typical office hours for this position are as follows: Monday Thursday 9:00 am 6:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am 5:00 pm.
