All About You


The Center for Ignatian Service at SAINT LOUIS UNIVERSITY has three Manresa Teaching Fellows on renewable one-year contracts, up to a total of three years. Fellows will teach required courses for the Ignatian Service minor: Ignatian Spirituality and Service, Ignatian Leadership and Service, Ignatian Vocation and Service. All three courses have sample syllabi and the first course also has a syllabus template approved for the new core curriculum that launched Fall 2022. The teaching load is a 3-3. Skill teaching the Catholic, Jesuit spiritual tradition is expected. Special consideration will be given to applicants with service-learning experience. Fellows will also participate in professional development seminars. Appointment will begin August 1, 2023.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree for appointment. Regardless of their own religious affiliation, the successful candidate will demonstrate dedication to undergraduate teaching and mentorship, a commitment to community engagement, and an eagerness to join a community of teacher-scholars working to enact the Jesuit Universal Apostolic Preferences. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to the university’s Catholic and Jesuit mission, which affirms the importance of diversity and fosters an inclusive work environment.
