Position Qualification
Position Summary | The Department of Pharmacology and Experimental Neuroscience at the University of Nebraska Medical Center seeks a postdoctoral research associate. Successful applicant’s work will include investigation of HIV-1 and drug abuse-mediated neuroinflammation in the context of various cellular signaling pathways, including extracellular vesicles, inflammasome signaling, and epigenetic modifications. They will be responsible for planning and execution of experiments in close collaboration with the Principal Investigators. The candidate should be able to work in a team, develop research ideas, and mentor technicians and students in the lab. |

Required Qualifications | Ph.D. in biological sciences, biochemistry, immunology, pharmacology, physiology, pathology, or related field. |
Supplemental Qualifications | Experience in molecular and cellular biology skill sets, especially in delivery of therapeutic nanoparticles Experience in animal experiments, cell culture work, flow cytometry, microscopy, quantitative real-time PCR, Western blot analysis and microscopy Ability to write manuscripts, give presentations and think independently is required |
