Overview:
 

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Bureau of Community Health and Prevention, Division of Child/Adolescent Health and Reproductive Health, is seeking a Sexual and Reproductive Health Program Manager to support the Sexual and Reproductive Health Program (SRHP.) The Sexual and Reproductive Health Program Manager will work with the SRHP team to provide support and guidance to enhance the quality of state- and federally- funded (Title X) clinical sexual and reproductive health services, help expand best practices in sexual and reproductive health care to all clinical settings where people may access this type of care and leverage strategic partnerships to ensure that sexual and reproductive health care remains accessible to all.
 

Minimum Qualifications:
 

  • BA or BS in public health, communication, or another related field.
  • Commitment to racial justice and health equity.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in public health, particularly with sexual and reproductive health, adolescent health, or clinical programs preferred at national, state, or local level.
  • Contract management experience.
  • Competence with Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and engaging in strategic partnerships, demonstrating, and prioritizing customer service.
  • Ability to handle a variety of constituencies, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a complex environment while balancing multiple competing priorities.
  • Ability to be in the office 1 day per week.
  • Able to travel 5 times per month within state to conduct site visits.
 

Preferred Qualifications:
 

  • Advanced degree in Public Health, Business, or another related field
  • Commitment to ensuring access to full-spectrum reproductive health services.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills/communication skills and experience working in collaborative team environments.
  • Growth mindset and positive attitude.
  • Experience in contract management or other experience monitoring compliance of agencies.
 

Responsibilities:
 

  • Support the execution of SRHP contracts with contracted agencies (community health centers, hospital-based clinics, school-based health centers, and free-standing SRH organizations)
  • Work with team to monitor performance of SRHP funded agencies and contracted vendors in accordance with contractual obligations, including workplan and data utilization review and reporting back to program and providers.
  • Collaborate in developing comprehensive program site review tools and documents.
  • Collaborate in planning training for SRHP multi-disciplinary staff such as new staff orientation; connect staff with resources and professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate/partner with multiple internal and external partners on activities to promote health equity, increase health access and improve outcomes for sexual and reproductive health.
  • Participate in proposal reviews, maintain records, prepare reports, and attend designated agency and Bureau meetings.
  • Work with other team members and Department staff to respond to communications from agency staff regarding programmatic and administrative issues.
  • Review, summarize and distribute resources, research, and best practices for health topics, as directed by the Program Coordinator.
  • Monitors program-related contracts and agreements.

This role is involved in a dynamic public health program. As such, roles and responsibilities are subject to change as situations evolve. Roles and responsibilities listed above may be expanded upon or updated to match priorities and needs, once written approval is received by both the CDC Foundation and Massachusetts Department of Public Health, in order to best support the State of Massachusetts in their public health programming.
 

This position requires the operation of a motor vehicle as a component of the job responsibilities and duties. In adherence with CDC Foundation’s Driver Safety Motor Vehicle Policy (“Policy”), offers for employment for this position require the Applicant to provide authorization to the CDC Foundation to conduct a Motor Vehicle Record (“MVR”) review both pre-employment and also annually post-employment while in this position. Additionally, if an offer of employment is accepted, employees in these positions must possess and maintain a valid driver's license in their state of residence, self-report motor vehicle violations/convictions, and provide proof of acceptable insurance coverage with mandatory minimum coverages as set forth within the Driver Safety Motor Vehicle policy.
