Overview:
We are seeking a motivated self-starter for a project coordinator position in the AACR Science Policy and Government Affairs Office patient advocacy program. The project administrator will be responsible, among other things, for coordinating program activities, maintaining and updating program platforms, and monitoring online communications.
 

The project administrator will report to the director of patient advocacy and engagement and assist with planning webcasts, developing in-person events, and preparing e-newsletters. They will be working closely with other programs within SPGA, as well as other AACR departments, so strong communication skills are a must.
Responsibilities:
  • Help the director with program duties and processes.
  • Schedule meetings and keep minutes.
  • Assist with planning, from start to finish of programs.
  • Prepare and distribute program materials.
  • Implement policies and procedures.
  • Monitor external communications and social media.
  • Act as point of contact for project teams and facilitate communications.
  • Create content for online platforms.
  • Collaborate on stakeholder presentations.
  • Foster positive relationships with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Two years’ experience, working or volunteering, in a patient advocacy organization
  • Knowledge of project management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team player
  • Deadline-driven
  • Organized and focused
  • Computer literate
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Salesforce
  • Basic knowledge of web content management helpful
