Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Post-Doc Fellow/ Social Work at its Detroit campus location.

Essential functions (job duties):

A dynamic research enterprise opportunity for the right candidate. We are looking for someone interested in applied research working within communities and with state leaders to assess and/or intervene to reduce consequences associated with misuse of alcohol or drugs. Two research teams (Center for Behavioral health and Justice AND the Substance Use Research Team) will work collaboratively to offer experience across multiple stakeholder groups and community systems for the right candidate. The work of the CBHJ is situated at the intersection between the criminal/legal system and behavioral health, while the SUR Team focuses on a wide range of state-level evaluation of opioid response projects involving prevention, treatment and recovery.

Qualifications:

Earned PhD in Social Sciences or health related discipline (or impending degree).

Ability to engage in qualitative and quantitative research methods.

Understand administrative data and data management techniques.

Experience in program evaluation a plus

Content expertise in substance use/misuse; interventions; and/or treatment of SUD.

Strong writing skills.

Contribute to manuscript development and submission.
