What you need to know

Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience.

Requirements or Other Factors: May work remotely; however, must be on campus (School of Public Health) a minimum of one day a week to accomplish essential job responsibilities.

Required Education:

Appropriate PhD

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to multi-task, work independently, and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Education:

PhD in health services research or related fields

Preferred Experience:

At least 2 years experience working on large retrospective database studies in Cancer.

Experience with Seer-Medicare and MEPS data preferred.

At least one course in data science or programming.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

SAS, STATA, R,


Responsibilities:

  • Research related-duties: Designing health economics database studies, and conducing the full research including, data management, analysis, and writing reports, papers, and proposals based on the analysis.

  • Administrative/Mentoring Duties: Administrative duties such as project management, IRB applications, assisting with classes as needed, mentor students in the lab and consulting on economics data intensive projects. Performs other duties as assigned.
