Job Summary: | The Yen Laboratory and the Small Animal Metabolic Phenotyping Facility of the Department of Nutritional Sciences are seeking a highly motivated Scientist to lead research projects studying the roles of the intestinal lipid metabolism in regulating systemic energy balance using genetically engineered mouse models and to co-direct a shared-use metabolic phenotyping facility. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the laboratory's research program and will provide scientific inputs on experimental design, data analysis, and result interpretation to the metabolic phenotyping facility. The selected candidate would demonstrate enthusiasm for multidisciplinary research and working with diverse investigators, a strong interest in learning and teaching new techniques, and the ability to thrive in an inclusive and collaborative environment. Involvement in these activities is expected to lead to scholarly work that will be published in scientific journals. |
