Relationship Manager, UniFi by CAIA™

JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose and Scope

The Relationship Manager, UniFi by CAIA™ supports the strategic objectives and mission of the UniFi by CAIA™ learning platform. The activities of the Relationship Manager include providing world-class relationship management, client service, and administrative support for current and prospective institutional and individual clients.

This role reports to the Managing Director, UniFi by CAIA™ Operations. Salary commensurate with relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

Industry Relations and Sales Support – 50%

  • Engage with prospective institutional FAI clients by understanding client needs and executing sales strategies where appropriate.
  • Interact with prospective institutional clients, acting as a subject matter expert on the FAI program and as an ambassador for the entirety of CAIA Association’s educational programs.
  • Collaborate with Managing Director and colleagues and contribute to a data-driven industry relations strategy and tactical business development execution plan.
  • Follow the established opportunity management process within Salesforce, collaborating with Managing Directors, IT, CMR, and Finance. Document notes, activities, and sales cycle progress in Salesforce.
  • Develop and present UniFi by CAIA™ platform content in client meetings and/or on webinars, with support from Managing Director and content team, as appropriate.
  • Provide input to messaging and marketing support for email and social media campaigns and content marketing where applicable.

Ongoing Relationship Management and Administrative Support – 40%

  • Provide world-class client service to existing institutional UniFi clients through regular meetings, engagement, and educational opportunities.
  • Start onboarding processes for new clients, transition post-sales, and client service to the Candidate and Member Relations (CMR) team.
  • Provide the CMR team with UniFi by CAIA™ platform subject matter expertise for retail clients, upon request.
  • Provide bespoke reporting for institutional clients on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and/or annual basis.
  • Assist Managing Director and Curriculum team to remain aware of continuing education (CE) requirements for other professional associations, drive CE relationships where applicable, and provide support for CE credit execution and/or partnership renewals.
  • Assist CMR and/or provide administrative support to clients, including tasks such as course setup, report generation, discount code creation, technical support, and other bespoke tasks related to FAI account management for institutional clients.
  • Develop competency in navigating the back-end operations of the FAI learning management system, Absorb.

Content Input and Development - 10%

  • Act as a liaison between clients and UniFi content development, identifying educational needs and soliciting feedback on the UniFi platform.
  • Participate in future module content and product development as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in business/finance/communications or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in relationship management or financial services
  • Complete 20 hours of online training with the Fundamentals of Alternatives Investments certificate program during the first ~90 days of employment.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Microsoft 365, Zoom, and Outlook competency required.
  • Experience with Salesforce is preferred.
  • Experience and exposure to learning management systems and survey platforms are a plus.
  • Collaborative, team player with an entrepreneurial attitude, drive, and flexible mindset
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities
  • Location near Philadelphia or Amherst preferred. The position can be based remotely in the Americas, subject to experience and management discretion.
  • Some travel may be required
