Philanthropy Specialist

The Philanthropy Team at AnitaB.org seeks to be a strategic partner of choice for individuals, corporations, and foundations for transformational philanthropy toward a more inclusive and expansive society that supports and empowers women and non-binary technologists to achieve intersectional gender and pay parity. The Philanthropy Specialist will support the expansion and diversification of philanthropic revenue.

The Philanthropy Specialist should be energetic, collaborative, strategic, and demonstrate a proven track record working with social benefit organizations to exceed assigned fundraising goals. The ideal candidate for this position is a resourceful non-profit development professional who is adept at building and managing strong relationships with internal teams and external supporters. Additionally, they should be well-organized, highly motivated, people-oriented, and excited to be part of a growing nonprofit organization, while sharing a passion for women and non-binary people in technology and a commitment to our mission. This role will report to the Director of Philanthropy

 

 

Here's what you'll do

Support the planning, execution and evaluation of fundraising campaigns and events, and annual appeals to ensure acquisition and revenue goals are achieved.
Collaborate with various departments to ideate, create, and execute fundraising initiatives.
Manage data entry, gift processing, pledges, and donation acknowledgment process.
Lead prospect research and develop donor profiles.
Oversee state solicitation, GuideStar, and other renewal and reporting processes for the organization.
Partner with the Director of Philanthropy and various departments to create, organize, and communicate Philanthropy Department processes, policies, and procedures.

Here's what we hope you'll bring

Experience in development, corporate philanthropy, nonprofit administrative support, or similar field preferred.
3+ years of progressive responsibilities in development, marketing and/or programmatic experience, with at least 2 years in a fundraising support role.
Ability to create effective relationships, influence, and collaborate.
Experience in grant and/or proposal writing preferred.
Strong planning, prioritization, and analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, requests, and deadlines simultaneously.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

The salary range for this position is $60,135 - $75,169 plus competitive benefits to include 403(b). Consistent with pay equity best practices, we are proud to present only our best and final non-negotiable offer. The offer is based on the candidate's location and subject to change if the candidate or employee relocates.
