Description
The SAMP Lab (Sensory and motor plasticity, Ella Striem-Amit’s lab) at Georgetown University (Washington DC, USA) is looking for a passionate and dedicated Postdoctoral researcher to work on a project on brain plasticity in special populations (blind, deaf or born without hands). The job includes executing a partly-independent research line, under the supervision of Dr. Striem-Amit. This comprises all aspects of research, such as literature review, planning and executing behavioral and neuroimaging experiments, developing and programming new analyses, data analysis, and preparing the results for publication and presentation in scientific meetings. The position also includes the mentoring of more junior lab members: graduate students and research assistants.
Excellent understanding of and experience with fMRI and data analysis are required. Strong programming skills (Matlab/R/python, etc.) are also a requirement.
The position is not limited to US citizens. The start date is flexible, but preferably by Sept 2023.This position is available for two years, and can be extended further based on performance.
