Create profitable restaurant operations that allows Odessa College to engage with the Odessa Community in a unique way simultaneously providing Culinary and Hospitality students the opportunity for experiential learning.
Specific Position Duties
Under the direction of the Associate Vice President for Adult, Continuing and Workforce Education, the Director of Restaurant Operations is responsible for the operation of the Grab and Go and O’Cuisine campus restaurants. Job duties are but not limited to:
· Manage daily operations of Grab and Go and O’Cuisine dining
· Expand operations of the Grab and Go and O’Cuisine to weekend, Summer, and evening offerings
· Implement and maintain high quality standards in production and guest service
· Market and promote the Grab and Go and O’Cuisine to increase the local community engagement and guest traffic
· Establish profit targets
· Maintain compliance with the health, sanitation, and safety requirements through ServSafe
· Maintain the college’s account management system of purchasing policies and procedures
· Hire and supervise staff and student interns
· Coordinate with Department Chair of Culinary arts to increase the number of special events held on campus and in the community
· Schedule staff for restaurant and special events
· Collaborate with Department Chair and Culinary Arts faculty for educational opportunities
Minimum Qualifications
5 years Industry Experience
