The Department Radiology is currently seeking a Temporary , Full-Time Research Study Assistant to coordinate human subject research studies focusing on Autism Spectrum Disorder. 

This is a 12-Month Project position .

Responsibilities include screening and recruiting research subjects, performing informed consents with research subjects, scheduling, assisting with data collection and data entry, arranging participant travel and reimbursement, and assisting in other similar research coordination duties.  This position will support MRI, EEG and Eye tracking data collection and processing and assist in data analysis. Attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities(Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.)

Responsibilities

• Research subject recruitment, screening and enrollment
• Informed consenting and complying with IRB and research ethics
• Scheduling
• Arranging participant travel and reimbursements
• Reporting and tracking data collection
• Data collection, analysis and entry
• Assist research scientists, Post-docs, PI and other study staff with MRI, EEG and Eye tracking
• Perform MRI, EEG and Eye tracking tasks for research subjects following study protocols
• Data pre-processing, transfer, and backup
• Data entry and quality control
• Supervision of students
• EEG and Eye tracking equipment maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

• Two years of college-level course work in a relevant academic area AND one year of appropriate experience OR equivalent education/experience.

Desired Education/Experience/Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, neuropsychology, psychology, sociology, public health or related field.
• Prior experience with MRI, EEG and/or Eye tracking and human subject research.
• Experience with REDCap

The employee frequently is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to write, finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

• Schedule is normally 8a to 5p, M-F, but is not always fixed and workload does vary. Occasional nights and weekends will be necessary when needed to accommodate research participant scheduling. The incumbent¹s first responsibility is to complete tasks rather than keep to a fixed schedule.  Flexibility in schedule and intensity of work is necessary.
• This position is eligible for occasional telework
• Some travel between sites will be necessary by UW Health Services or other shuttles.
