Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director, Alumni Relations and Public Programming, the Stewardship and Alumni Relations Officer will provide assistance to the Senior Director and Assistant Director of Alumni Relations as needed and work closely with them to ensure that all alumni feel connected to the school.

Essential Functions

  • Answers inquiries in coordination with other staff members of the Alumni Relations Office, serving as a point of contact by telephone, email, and in-person for alumni, students, and faculty.
  • Creates, manages, and updates alumni contact information in database.
  • Works closely with the Senior Director to coordinate FLAA Board meeting agenda, minutes, and materials.
  • Drafts and creates monthly alumni e-newsletter.
  • Oversees and drafts bi-annual FLAA Dues Mailing.
  • Runs reports, arranges, and oversees the mailing lists for invitations and other large mailings from the department database (Banner).
  • Assists with administrative aspects of alumni events hosted at the Law School, including merging, and creating event nametags, signage and gathering supplies and meeting materials.
  • Coordinates and sets-up meetings and teleconferences for staff and volunteer groups.
  • Maintains event RSVP lists and updates shared drive.
  • Records and deposits event registration fees and FLAA Dues Membership fees.
  • Regularly coordinates with other Advancement Office administrators.
  • Manages alumni news and updates and subsequent letters from the Dean.
  • Assists with all aspects of the administration and operations of the Office of Alumni Relations.
  • Manages Office of Alumni Relations’ student workers.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; or, in lieu of the degree, a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience is required.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong word processing and database skills.
  • Must be able to problem solve and troubleshoot, in addition to the ability to work independently in a dynamic team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively partner with a diverse group of administrators and work well with all levels of management.
  • Must have a passion for excellent customer service and a commitment to high quality work.
  • Flexibility in handling multiple assignments.
  • Possess desire to learn new skills and the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Works as a team player.
  • Some night and weekend work will be required.
  • Successful candidates should have a knowledge of and commitment to the goals of Jesuit Education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior work experience in higher education preferred.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office.

Minimum Starting Salary: $58,500

Maximum Starting Salary: $65,500

Note: Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.
