Job Description


A Postdoctoral Fellowship is available in the Fidelity, Adaptation, Sustainability and Training (FAST) Lab (PI: Shannon Wiltsey Stirman), based in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Population Mental Health Division and the National Center for PTSD. The lab studies the implementation of evidence based psychosocial interventions (EBPs) strategies, with an emphasis on training and consultation, to support sustained implementation, fidelity assessment, and adaptations to EBPs. The Postdoctoral Fellow will support a National Institute of Mental Health-funded randomized controlled trial of two forms of messaging-based treatments for individuals who have experienced a trauma and experience PTSD symptoms with an onset or increase during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Fellow will assist with Cognitive Processing Therapy and Culturally Informed Trauma Therapy fidelity coding and with using machine learning approaches to assess fidelity.
The Fellow will have the opportunity to foster relationships with clinicians and researchers at Stanford and  the VA and to collaborate with other members of the National Center for PTSD’s Dissemination and Training Division. This position provides mentored research experience in conducting large implementation studies. The Fellow will be encouraged to take advantage of opportunities to publish on datasets including baseline data from one of the from completed implementation studies. In addition, mentorship in grantwriting and opportunities to accrue clinical hours for licensure in psychology may be available.
