Job Summary: | We are pleased to invite applications for a tenure track position in the Department of Neuroscience at the School of Medicine and Public Health of the University of Wisconsin. We seek outstanding candidates who take a systems level approach to fundamental questions of brain function including sensory encoding and memory formation. We are particularly eager to attract candidates who utilize high density recordings of neuronal populations in awake, behaving subjects. The Department of Neuroscience brings together faculty and research programs that span a wide range of interests including ion channels, synaptic transmission, developmental neurobiology, stem cell biology, neuroendocrinology, sensory neurobiology, and memory. |

Responsibilities: | The successful candidate will be expected to develop productive, extramurally funded research programs and to participate in teaching. The successful candidate will also participate in professional, public and university service appropriate to the faculty rank. The successful candidate will teach medical students, residents, and fellows. |
