Job Description

Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Accounting and Finance. This is a full-time position beginning in August 2023 with a possibility to be tenure-track. This is a traditional face-to-face position in a dynamic experientially-based business program with some online teaching as needed. The college seeks a finance and accounting professor who will teach courses in money and banking, international finance, introductory accounting topics, cost management, auditing, tax accounting, and other courses as necessary within the Business Department. Additional responsibilities include academic advising, committee work, assisting in student recruitment and other duties as necessary to advance the College’s mission and goals.

We are seeking a dynamic teacher and collaborative colleague eager to participate in the life of the college. C-SC faculty are committed to teaching excellence, participate in faculty governance, serve on college committees, and assist with student recruitment.

A doctoral degree in accounting or finance is required for a tenure-track position; candidates with a Master’s degree will be considered for a renewable lecturer position. ABD candidates will be considered. A CPA license is also preferred. Successful teaching experience in the classroom and online, as well as professional accounting and/or finance experience, is preferred. The successful candidate must have evidence of an ability to work effectively with students and colleagues and have a strong commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education and experiential learning.
