MVCC's School of Humanities invites applications for part-time Adjunct Instructors to teach courses in English Composition, Literature, and Speech. Teaching faculty at MVCC have the primary responsibility of fulfilling the College mission of providing high-quality educational opportunities to meet the diverse needs of our students.
Adjunct faculty members teach contracted classes in accordance with established policies and guidelines. For Fall 2023, we are seeking adjunct instructors to teach in-person only. This position may include both daytime and evening class assignments and may be held at the Rome or Utica campus. Specific assignments will be made according to the academic qualifications and availability of the individual and the School needs.
Qualifications:
For Composition and Literature courses: Master’s degree in related field & Bachelor’s degree in discipline
For Effective Speech: Master’s degree in related field & Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Composition and Rhetoric, or Theater
