The Community College of Aurora serves our diverse community by providing high-quality instruction and support services to prepare students for transfer and employment. POSITION SUMMARY

The Enrollment Specialist will serve as the point-of-contact for employee and student needs that arise during evening hours for our Lowry Campus. This position will work closely with enrollment management to serve as an entry level expert in all areas including recruitment, admissions, financial aid, and advising to provide entry level support for all students after hours. The enrollment specialist will serve as the College's campus liaison with campus Security personnel, College security staff and College administrators.

Examples of Duties / Knowledge & Skills

Enrollment Management:
  • Assisting prospective students and the general public with any questions or concerns
  • Support prospect students through the enrollment process
  • Provide entry level support for all students at the Lowry campus for Recruitment, Admissions, Financial Aid, Academic Advising, and others as needed.
  • Provide tours and guidance for all guest and students of the college as needed.
  • Provide guidance and support to prospects, applicants and students via telephone, email, website, drop-in visits and other strategies.
  • Serves as the informational liaison between visitors and students for CCA community including but not limited to Financial Aid, Admissions, Registration and Records, Careers Services, Advising, Student Success, and Academic Success.
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all visitors of the College.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Academic Success Support Functions:
  • Assisting current students with class related issues
  • Scheduling student appointments with specialized staff
  • Assisting with college activities or events
  • Unlock rooms to retrieve items for students and staff
  • Assist in providing classroom instructional resources

Emergency Management Functions:
  • Serve as a point of contact in emergency situations
  • Provide direction to students and employees in emergency situations
  • Support employees in responding to student medical emergencies
  • Assist employees with medical emergencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications & Requirements


  • Associate's degree with experience working in higher education, community-based organization, or closely related professional setting.
  • Strong written communications skills, with ability to rapidly write accurate, detailed reports and general correspondence.
  • Friendly and outgoing, with a very strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to assess a wide variety of situations quickly, remain calm in challenging situations and determine and direct workable solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and reliable.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, must be goal oriented and have ability to take initiative.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Bilingual.
  • Working knowledge of Banner.
  • Working knowledge of Banner Document Management (BDM).
  • Certified in First Aid

Supplemental information

Salary Range: Anticipated starting salary range: $48,517 .00. This salary is determined by the qualifications of the selected candidate balanced with departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information. CCA offers an excellent benefit plan, including generous leave, holiday, and education benefits. Full time employees immediately upon hire earn 15 hours a month annual leave and 10 hours a month sick leave.
