Position Summary
The Los Rios Community College District is seeking a pool of qualified applicants for temporary part-time faculty (Adjunct) teaching assignments. These positions are filled on an as needed basis and are on-going recruitment efforts. Applicants are contacted/hired year-round for assignments based on college needs. Adjunct pools are open continuously and refreshed every two years.

Salary
$38.21 to $95.42 per hour. Rate determined by education requirement and type of assignment (lab/lecture/non lecture/substitute). LRCCD Salary SchedulesAdditional Salary Information
Initial annual salary within a given range varies, depending upon units/degrees completed at accredited colleges/universities and experience. Candidates not holding the minimum degree requirement may start at a salary lower than posted above.Assignment Responsibilities
The adjunct faculty member shall be responsible for the following: teaching assigned classes under the supervision of the area dean; helping students fulfill their maximum potential in mastering course content; assessing student learning outcomes; maintaining a thorough and up-to-date knowledge in his/her regular teaching field; continuing professional development; utilizing current technology in the performance of job duties; maintaining standards of professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the professional position; assisting with articulation and curriculum development and review; serving on college committees and participating in faculty governance including accreditation and student co-curricular activities; assuming other responsibilities as assigned by the area dean; fulfilling other duties and responsibilities of an adjunct faculty member as outlined in the college faculty handbook.

- All aspects of the intercollegiate sport program for track and field.
- Planning and executing practice, recruiting, training, overseeing and supervising of assistant coaches and student-athletes.
- Scheduling athletic contests and arranging transportation.
- Preparing budgets.
- Maintaining athletic equipment, supplies and facilities.
- Enforcing district, college, and Commission on Athletics (COA)/California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) rules and student requirements.
All coaches are required to complete the CCCAA compliance exam.

N/AMinimum Qualifications
- Have a master’s degree in Kinesiology, Physical Education, Exercise Science, Education with an emphasis in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Physiology of Exercise, or Adaptive Physical Education; OR, a bachelor’s degree in any of the above AND a master’s degree in any Life Science, Dance, Physiology, Health Education, Recreation Administration, or Physical Therapy; OR, the equivalent.* All degrees must be from an accredited institution completed by August 20, 2022.
- Have two years of successful coaching experience in intercollegiate or interscholastic track and field.
- Have an equity-minded focus, responsiveness, and sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, including those with physical or learning disabilities as it relates to differences in learning styles; and successfully foster and support an inclusive educational and employment environment.
