Job Description
The Council of Graduate Schools (CGS) awards recent postdoctoral fellows who have written a book that draws heavily from the methods and scholarship of the current year's field of competition. The field of competition varies each year. There can be only one outstanding nominee from each institution. The nominator is asked to elaborate in a separate letter upon the scholarly contribution made by the nominee's book.
Eligibility & Requirements
Must have received PhD within 7 years of award date from a North American institution. Must have written a book of scholarly importance in the current year's field of competition. The book being considered must have been published within seven years of the award and be written in or translated in English. Must currently be teaching at a U.S. or Canadian university. Must be nominated by UCLA. Nomination must be accompanied with three copies of work. *check website for current year's field of competition*
