Description
Work with Graduate Research Assistant to develop MaxEnt distribution models and analyze the spatial phenology of various native bee pollinators in East Texas, with special reference to the Piney Woods Ecoregion. Focal native bee species will include four bumblebees (American bumble bee, Bombus pensylvanicus; southern plains bumble bee, B. fraternus, variable cuckoo bumble bee, B. variabilis, and brown-belted bumble, B. griseocollis), and two carpenter bees (southern carpenter bee, Xylocopa micans and eastern carpenter bee, X. virginica). Develop MaxEnt roadkill distribution models of these and other native bee pollinator species in East Texas.
Qualifications
PhD with experience using ArcGIS, MaxEnt niche modeling, and community science data analysis in the context of Landscape Ecology.
