Position Summary

We are seeking a postdoctoral research associate to join our research efforts on reproductive biology and chemical ecology of sea lamprey. Candidates in related areas of biology with expertise in pheromone communication and reproductive biology will be considered. The successful applicant will study the pheromone communication, reproductive physiology and ecology, and life history strategies in sea lamprey and zebrafish. The selected candidate will also publish manuscripts and assist in developing research grant proposals. The duration of the position is eight months, renewable for up to three years if new funding becomes available.

Required Degree

Doctorate -Fisheries and Wildlife and/or Evolution


Minimum Requirements

Ph.D., with background and research experience in chemical ecology


Desired Qualifications
  • Skills or background in field studies of chemical ecology of fish species
  • Experience or interest in collaborating with graduate students and postdoctoral research associates from diverse disciplines and academic backgrounds  
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience working in a diverse environment and in programs designed to promote inclusion
