Postdoctoral Research Associate (AC) - 23000625 

Description

: 

Conduct exposure assessment to both particles and gas-phase pollutants in indoor, outdoor, and ambulatory personal exposure contexts.
Operate and maintain aerosol sampling equipment including low-cost air quality sensors as well as both mobile and stationary air quality monitoring equipment.
Conduct research related to air pollution exposure with both children and adult human subjects.
Analyze and interpret data related to both exposure and outcome.

Required Qualifications
A doctoral degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, environmental health, or similar field (completed by spring 2022)
Laboratory and field experience including experimental design, sample collection, and data analysis.
Excellent English-language skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to clearly communicate to both a technical and lay audience, including study participants.
Ability to work independently, fulfill project goals, and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to perform research and publish results in peer-reviewed literature.

Preferred Hiring Qualifications: 

Experience in operating and troubleshooting air quality instruments including particle counters and sizers, low-cost sensors, filter-based particle collection approaches, and gas-phase pollutant monitors.
Experience with database management and data analysis using R or SAS.
Experience conducting human subjects research.
