Job Description

The Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics of the School of Business, University at Albany, State University of New York, located in Albany, New York invites applications for TWO one-year contract appointments in Information Systems & Business Analytics at the Visiting Assistant Professor level.

The position will commence in Fall 2023 and may be renewable for up to one additional year. The positions are expected to carry a 15-credit teaching load over the academic year.


Job Requirements:


Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. degree in a relevant field from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization by June 2023
  • Applicants must address in their application their ability to work with a culturally diverse population.
  • Ability to design and execute undergraduate and graduate coursework in concert with department and school requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching business analytics, big data, and information systems in small or large lecture formats (200+ students/section) as well as blended or hybrid formats. Deep experience teaching a diverse constituency is an important plus.
  • Teaching experience at the graduate and undergraduate levels
  • Flexibility to teach during daytime and evening hours
