The Department of Economics seeks to fill one visiting position. We are looking for an applied economist.


Position Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will be dedicated to quality teaching, with a particular focus on econometrics, and have an interest in participating in an active research environment.

Required Qualifications:

The candidate must have an earned doctorate in Economics by August 2023, be eligible for employment in the United States and indicate their citizenship or visa status.
The candidate must have demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.

Preferred Qualifications:

Applicants with a focus in health or labor are of particular interest.
Good communication skills, a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and research, and a capacity to work collaboratively with colleagues are desired.
