Motlow State is located in the beautiful rolling hills of middle Tennessee and has four campuses that serve students from eleven counties. General Function:
Lead and manage institutional effectiveness, assessment, and data collection efforts

Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree earned from an accredited institution with two years of full-time higher education experience, including at least 2 years of assessment and/or data collection and reporting experience

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree earned from an accredited institution. Three years of full-time higher education experience including at least 3 years of assessment and/or institutional data collection and reporting, as well as experience with institutional level accreditation efforts

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Leads implementation of college-wide institutional effectiveness processes and supports planning to ensure compliance with SACSCOC principles, policies, and procedures
Coordinates the Quality Assurance Funding efforts of the college, including coordinating academic audits/program evaluation, and ensuring all required reports related to Quality Assurance Funding are compiled and submitted to the Tennessee Higher Education Commission by the required deadlines
Provides support and training for individuals, departments, and units regarding institutional effectiveness and assessment
Supports the AVP IE & AT and Vice President for Academic Affairs with annual institutional strategic planning
Oversees the collection, maintenance, interpretation, and dissemination of data and information to prepare internal and external reports, including IPEDS and other external surveys
Serves as the liaison with TBR on issues dealing with institutional planning, outcomes-based funding, and institutional data gathering activities
Analyzes assessment data and facilitates data interpretation for informed decision-making
Oversees and administers budgets for the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness
Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges Principles of Accreditation, and concepts of continuous cycles of improvement
Knowledge of survey software and data manipulation packages
Knowledge of research methodologies and assessment
Ability to conduct research, develop professional reports, and make presentations of reports and research results to institutional representatives
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community
Ability to interpret, understand, and apply statistical data
Ability to communicate effectively statistical data and data set information to an audience with limited or no knowledge in statistical calculations or methods to enable informed decision-making
