Job Summary
Perform theoretical studies of the energy relaxation of radiation-induced electrons in semiconductors; of their thermalization in electronic devices based on wide-band gap materials, and their effect on the degradation and performance of these devices. The physical models will be developed from first-principles methods (density functional theory) and the electron dynamics and transport will be studied using Monte Carlo techniques.
Minimum Education and Experience

Ph.D in a related field.

Preferred Education and Experience
PhD in Physics, Materials Science or Electrical Engineering
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop the physical models, write the computer program and run the simulations required to generate the data. Analyze the data, proposed further developments of the study.
