Job Summary | Perform theoretical studies of the energy relaxation of radiation-induced electrons in semiconductors; of their thermalization in electronic devices based on wide-band gap materials, and their effect on the degradation and performance of these devices. The physical models will be developed from first-principles methods (density functional theory) and the electron dynamics and transport will be studied using Monte Carlo techniques. |
Minimum Education and Experience | Ph.D in a related field. |
Preferred Education and Experience | PhD in Physics, Materials Science or Electrical Engineering |
Essential Duties and Responsibilities | Develop the physical models, write the computer program and run the simulations required to generate the data. Analyze the data, proposed further developments of the study. |
