Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The TerpZone’s Graduate Assistantship Position with the Adele H Stamp Student Union – Center for Campus Life offers an in-depth educational and professional position within the area of recreational programming and facility management. The Graduate Assistant for TerpZone will have the opportunity to gain experience in program planning, assessment, budget development, and student development theory.
The Graduate Assistant will be expected to work primarily weekdays, in addition to working certain events and/or programs that will take place at night/weekends. The Graduate Assistant will participate as a staff member and assist in its administration; will post and maintain a minimum of 20 hours per week; will prepare reports for staff on assigned projects; and will represent the department of the Adele H Stamp Student Union – Center for Campus Life at various Stamp Student Union and Student Affairs functions.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelors Degree required from an accredited four-year institution is required.
- Admission to and enrollment in a UMD Graduate School program is required.

Additional Information:
This is a 9.5-month assistantship. GAs receive 10 credits of tuition remission in the fall and spring semesters and 4 credits in Winter Term (at base tuition rate), UMD health insurance enrollment option, and stipend. Yearly appointment and reappointment for every academic year is anticipated depending on performance and will be determined by supervisor.
