Postdoctoral Fellow Ocular Immunology Scientist

Job Description


As a member of the Immunology Team in the Research and Technology Department, the Ocular Immunology Scientist characterizes the immune response to AAV-based gene transfer in the eye. S/he designs and executes studies using immuno-competent in vitro and in vivo models to identify mechanisms of anti-vector or anti-transgene immune response. S/he uses the generated data to identify and validate novel immunosuppressive regimens enhancing positive outcomes of gene therapy. S/he partners with internal ocular gene transfer experts and has an access to the cutting-edge technologies for sample analysis. S/he optimizes new imaging techniques enabling phenotyping on the immune response in the eye.

Analyze and present data at internal and external meetings

Keep abreast of new scientific/technology development by participating in scientific meetings/seminars and through regular scientific review.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Ocular Immunology or related field
  • A publication track record
  • A background in ocular immunology
