Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science (UMCES) at The Institute of Marine and Environmental Technology (IMET) seeks an Assistant Director to lead its business office.
The Assistant Director will lead and provide administrative support to our faculty in the areas of pre- and post- award management, financial analysis, and navigation of the various administrative functions. This position will also lead business development and fundraising opportunities for the department.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- 3+ years of professional experience in higher education
Preferences:
- A background in environmental policy and experience in science communication are desirable.
Additional Information:
