Additional responsibilites include developing programs, identifying opportunities, coordinating policy development and review, assisting with surveys that support the work of the College and are responsible for employee relations records within the third-party incident tracking software.
Must be comfortable working under pressure with limited supervision and demonstrate sound independent judgment. Ability to exercise a high degree of professionalism, diplomacy, discretion, firmness, and collaboration in dealing with individuals at all levels.

- Bachelor’s degree
- Four years of related professional work experience
- General knowledge of HR policies & procedures, specifically in the area of Employment
- Experience dealing with sensitive and confidential issues with professionalism
- Demonstrated knowledge of higher education legislation and federal requirements
- Demonstrated cultural competency
- Demonstrated knowledge and the ability to interpret federal, state, and local laws and regulaltions relevant to higher education
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to remain neutral
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Discretion, good judgement, and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Proven problem resolution abilities
- Ability to multi-task and meet sensitive timelines
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse constituencies including faculty, staff, administrators, and community partners

- Must be able to manage highly sensitive and confidential communications with discretion and integrity.

- Develop, deliver, and coordinate outreach, trainings, workshops, education, and professional development for campus stakeholders, in support of Keene State College’s strategic plan on DEI-related topics, bias, and discrimination and in support of cultural competence, deepening sense of belonging, and overall employee development.
- Collaborate with Associate Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion, Faculty and Graduate Fellows, and department leaders on DEI initiatives
- Support the development and growth of institutional bias prevention activities working with AVP for Diversity and Inclusion, Sexual Misconduct and Bias Coordinator, and team.
- Serve aon a team to help with investigative process and generate potential outcomes/next steps when there is a report of bias or discrimination.
- Actively participate in team approach to address any incidents of bias and/or discrimination (outside Title IX) reported by faculty, staff, or students.
- Collaborate on efficient and effective processes for evaluating complaints that come forward related to bias or discrimination
- Collaborate with HR staff, AVP for Diversity and Inclusion, and Coordinator data-driven programmatic goals and benchmarks related to building community, accessing resources, and building capacity around diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Maintain current knowledge of DEI best practices and monitor legal, political, and intellectual trends in DEI in higher education.
Duty/Responsibility
- Coordinate relevant institutional policy review and engage directly with shared services teams to improve search and performance management processes to uphold institutional values and expectations, especially related to equity.
- Develop programs and identify opportunities designed to improve the recruitment and retention of diverse faculty and staff. Coordinate with USNH HR to develop and expand partnerships to increase the number of diverse employment applications.
- Serve as the College’s Equal Opportunity Employment Officer and work closely with Affirmative Action Officer on EEO issues.
- Assist in reviewing, creating and enforcing employment policies that are fair and consistent for everyone in the workplace.
- Promote a culture of compliance in the identification, escalation, and timely mitigation of compliance risks and support the Cabinet in ensuring legal compliance.
Duty/Responsibility
- Act as employee relations specialist, fostering a conflict resolution approach to employee relations in relationshiop to bias and diversity issues.
- Provide dispute resolution education and coaching to supervisors
Duty/Responsibility
- Assist HR staff, AVP for Diversity and Inclusion, and Coordinator with the administration of campus climate surveys, and other initiatives to support the work of the College, in particular those designed to promote an inclusive community.
- Transfer and maintain relevant employee relations records to third-party incident tracking software (Maxient)
