Employer Events Assistant I

Job Description

EMPLOYER EVENTS ASSISTANT, Career Advising and Professional Development (CAPD) (part-time, 20 hrs/wk.), to assist the Employer Relations team with the execution of the Fall Career Fair and employer events to aid students and postdocs in their career exploration and recruiting activities. Core responsibilities include customer service, event logistics and management, working with vendors and recruiters, marketing events, and financial management duties. Will report to the senior assistant director for employer relations and the assistant director for career fairs.

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; at least two years of events coordination, administrative, or related experience; proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook and basic knowledge of or willingness to learn database software; excellent organizational, customer service, and oral and written communication skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work both independently and as part of a team. PREFERRED:  experience in an academic setting and with using Handshake.   Job #22511-4

Rate of pay:  $27.00 per hour

This is a hybrid term position (schedule to be determined) from June to March working 20 hours weekly, with summers being fully remote.  Must be available to work evenings and an occasional weekend.
