Job Description

The University of Notre Dame Enterprises and Events (UEE) division is currently hiring for the position of Marketing and Design Specialist. The UEE division leads the University’s event management, hospitality, and customer service functions while supporting student life, academic endeavors, and research initiatives. As part of the event management role, the division is responsible for the planning and execution of a wide range of University events from Commencement to concerts and special events on football game weekends. The division is a major contributor of revenue to the University’s mission and employs the largest number of staff on campus with over 1,200 full-time, part-time, temporary, and on-call staff.

Why this position?
The Marketing and Design Specialist is a key team member in the development and production of internal, external, and interactive marketing for University Enterprises and Events (UEE). The specialist will work closely with the Assistant Creative Director of Marketing and collaborate with a wide range of division partners to execute an integrated marketing communications strategy.  This position will be responsible for graphic design creation and production across the UEE division to include logo development/branding, print collateral, video and digital design assets.  The position will also be a key team member for the creation and management of social media across the division.   As a member of the marketing team, the specialist will work collaboratively with all team members to support UEE’s mission and initiatives and drive a brand strategy that delivers an unparalleled customer experience for our guests.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or related field
  • 1-2 years of experience
  • Strong conceptual design and oral and written communication abilities; capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Prior experience with computer design software to include Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop required.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience running professional social media campaigns and video/editing experience is preferred.
