Responsibilities:

In the lab of Kiran Vanaja at the Roux institute, we are seeking a post-doctoral research associate to conduct independent research. The candidate will perform experiments related to the projects currently in the lab and at the Roux Institute. The candidate will also perform data analysis, model building and participate in the writing of manuscripts relating to the projects, and contribute writing grant proposals in a team environment. The candidate will also function to further collaboration with other institutes such as Maine Health Research and Jackson Laboratories. This position includes occasional travel to the collaborator labs as well as periodic travel to Boston-based Northeastern lab space. The candidate will also mentor and teach graduate students in the lab.


Qualifications:

The candidate must have a PhD in a relevant field, knowledge of experimental tissue culture, basic molecular biology techniques is a must. Excellent communication skills across diverse audiences and settings. Ability to work in a fast-paced and innovative setting and enjoy working as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
