Job Description
The Postdoctoral Researcher will contribute to a research project consisting of the development of basic research and translation to clinical applications of the combination of photodynamic and sonodynamic action to combat melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer. Optical and sonodynamic experiments at the biochemical level and also with cell culture will demonstrate basic phenomena of the combination of techniques that can be legitimized with experiments in animal models and later in clinical research with project partners. Optical Spectroscopy of different types, Microscopy, OCT, and Raman techniques should be used to quantify expected effects.
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in the projects of photodynamic and sonodynamic action for melanoma and non-melanoma cells.
- Contribute to the construction of the laboratory's basic infrastructure.
- Help guide graduate students.
- Perform tests and measurements with different techniques that allow understanding the main features involved in the individual and combined techniques in the treatment of cancer cells.
- Participate in the writing of scientific articles and technical reports.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
