Position Highlights | A Postdoctoral Research Associate is sought to study virus-host metabolism interactions in the laboratory of Dr. John Purdy (www.immunobiology.arizona.edu/research/purdy-lab ). The ideal candidate is an individual with a passion for performing science creatively and rigorously and has a desire to learn virology while investigating metabolism using mass spectrometry, metabolomics, and lipidomics. Candidates must be able to work both independently and collaboratively, show strong critical thinking skills, communicate well (including writing) and be eager to perform state-of-the-art metabolic experiments. Preferred Qualifications | * Experience or interest with tissue culture work and experimental work in virology or metabolism. * Experience or interest in virology, metabolism, or mass spectrometry (e.g., lipidomics, metabolomics, or proteomics). * Experience or interest working with a mass spectrometer or handling MS/MS datasets. |
