Events Summer Intern (Temporary)Job Description
The Events Intern will assist with planning, executing, and reconciling various graduate program events at Mendoza College of Business. This position will work closely with the Program & Event Logistics team that oversees various summer events for Mendoza Graduate Programs. Specific areas of focus depend on departmental needs and the intern’s skills and interests.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides administrative & direct support to the Program & Event Logistics team in the weeks leading up to and preceding summer events
- Deliver exceptional customer service to our graduate students, faculty, staff, and vendors
- Refill and stock student lounge beverages and printing stations daily
- Organize and execute campus tours for graduate students with our partners at the Eck Visitor Center
- Take ownership of three (3) different events through the planning, executing, and reconciliation process
- Assist with setup, execution, and tear down of various program events
- Assist in planning and carrying out meal services at various campus locations
- Some nights and weekends will be required to support program needs
- Shares knowledge relating to societal trends and how to adjust events to provide a great experience and to be as inclusive as possible.
- Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be highly organized and detailed with the ability to work independently, problem solve, and prioritize while working in a fast pace environment
- Ability to work with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and ages
- Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks, under pressure, while remaining professional and in control
- Pursuing a degree in Event, Hospitality, and/or Tourism
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft and Google applications
