The role will have the charge for:

  • completing complex job evaluations utilizing external and internal compensation data
  • leads participation in national and local salary surveys and assisting during the annual merit increase process will be part of the role
  • a major focus of this position will be producing various highly technical compensation reports and presentations that will enable the Total Rewards leadership to project future needs and requirements
  • a core piece of the position will be interpreting the Compensation Policies and enforcing them throughout campus while approving Staff forms and payments
  • developing relationships with vendors and partners on campus is an essential part of the role.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of previous experience within compensation, Human Resources, or related field. A strong candidate would be considered without direct compensation experience.
  • Excellent technical skills with a strong focus on report writing and data analysis
  • Strong report and written presentation skills are necessary
  • Understanding of HR programs and services
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality pertaining to information contained in employee records and system data
  • Must possess a keen awareness to accuracy and critical attention to detail
  • Ability to organize information and prioritize duties in a multi-tasking environment
  • Accustomed to working with computers and have an understanding of various software applications (electronic imaging, spreadsheets, databases) with the ability to learn new software applications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to function effectively as a member of a team
  • Must be able to carefully review information, considering its meaning in preparation for processing
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, faculty, staff, and retirees while exhibiting strong customer service experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a preference to Business, Finance, HR or a technical focus
  • CCP preferred along with compensation experience
  • Experience working with Oracle and Tableau is a plus
