Position Summary | This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 20 hours per week) Qualitative Coding Research Assistant for the Department of Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservative Sciences at Oregon State University (OSU). We are looking for a research assistant with experience working with qualitative data to code open-ended responses generated as part of a randomized messaging experiment about climate action. Study participants have written 1-2 sentence answers to narrative prompts. Approximately ~3000 participants have responded to 1-5 prompts each, for a total of ~9000 responses to analyze. The research assistant will be mentored by Dr. Laura Thomas-Walters, a postdoctoral scholar in the FWCS Human Dimensions lab at OSU, and code the data using a codebook generated by the research team. Approximately 10-30 hours of work will be required in March and April 2023. Anticipated Hourly Rate: $20 |
