Job Description
- The Montgomery College, Off campus locations, (Paint Branch, Wheaton or Gaithersburg High School), is currently accepting applications for possible openings as a part-time faculty member teaching for Achieving Collegiate Excellence Success (ACES) Mission Possible summer program. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher who exhibits a high degree of professionalism, a strong commitment to our students, and demonstrates the ability to motivate and educate in an engaging manner.
Class Schedule: July 10, 2023 -July 14, 2023. The class times will be
9:30am-2:00pm.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Montgomery College Achieving Collegiate Excellence and Success (ACES) program is a collaborative effort between Montgomery College, Montgomery County Public Schools, and the Universities at Shady Grove to support students and provide a seamless path to a bachelor's degree.
- As a part of the ACES team, Part Time Faculty will teach financial literacy, English and/or College 101.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Math, English, Counseling, Higher Education, or related field or 2-3 years of professional experience related to Mission Possible subject matter.
- Experience working with high school students.
- Successful candidates will have a demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and multicultural competence in an educational and work environment and must be willing to contribute to the Colleges strategic plan of inclusion.
- Faculty members are expected to have access to a personal computer with virus protection that can connect to the internet outside of the work location (i.e., office, classroom, college campus)*. Montgomery College (MC) provides an MC e-mail account and access to the learning platform, password-protected faculty sections of the website, college listservs, and other faculty communications tools. *If you do not have access to a personal computer, please notify the department chair at the time of interview. Subject to available funds, the college may be able to provide temporary access to resources.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without a sponsor.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual.
- Excellent knowledge of a variety of individual learning styles.
