Job Summary
We are seeking a distinguished candidate to join our nationally ranked, productive, and growing team of research-dedicated faculty. This candidate will be an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in a tenure-track, Regular Title Series, full time (12 month) position in the Department of Family & Community Medicine at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. We seek to recruit a researcher with a dynamic, productive research agenda that aims to make an impact to primary care medicine in areas such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity, substance abuse, or other health conditions.
Faculty member will be expected to conduct innovative, rigorous, grant-funded research and engage in scholarly activities (peer-reviewed publications, academic presentations, etc.). They will also contribute to the research training of UK students and postdoctoral scholars, including mentorship programs, workshops, and supervised research. They will be expected to engage in broader research and training initiatives across all 16 colleges at the University of Kentucky, including the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Public Health, Nursing, Communication and Information Sciences, and Health Sciences. These initiatives will include grant consultation and review; a dynamic speaker series, pilot project competitions, public outreach, and other enriching events.
The ideal candidate will have NIH-funded research or strong potential to obtain NIH funding for their research, aspire to engage in research mentorship, and contribute to a vibrant environment of scholars at the University of Kentucky from areas such as behavioral sciences, public health, social sciences, communication, health services research, biomedical informatics, and health sciences (nursing, medicine, nutrition, etc.). Special emphasis will be placed on intervention, dissemination, and implementation scientists. Successful applicants are expected to seek and maintain funding for their research while serving as a collaborative member of the existing research and clinical faculty.

This position has been identified as supporting UK HealthCare, which receives funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
