Job Description Summary

Are you an engaged leader with experience in higher education? LLCC is seeking a Director for Faculty Development, who will provide leadership in the development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive faculty development program centered on supporting and promoting faculty as learners with programming focused on pedagogy, student success, innovative instruction, evidence-based practices, and inclusive learning environments.

As a staff member at LLCC, you can look forward to 22 paid holidays a year, including 2 weeks at the end of the calendar year and one week in March for mid-semester break; 12 Fridays off in the summer; 2 personal days, 15 sick days, and 20 vacation days per year. LLCC staff, their spouse and qualified dependent children are eligible to use the tuition waiver on credited courses. LLCC is a positive, team-oriented environment supportive of staff development. Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience working in higher education
  • College-level teaching experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals and groups at all levels of the college
  • Ability to set priorities and work concurrently on multiple tasks and projects
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in education or related field
  • Community college teaching experience
  • Experience providing professional development for college-level faculty
  • Experience delivering pedagogical programming in-person and online
  • Experience working in a faculty development center or related department
  • Strong knowledge of the scholarship of teaching and learning in higher education

Position Salary

Salary will be commensurate with education and experience but will be no less than $68,283 per year with an excellent benefits package.
