Summary

This position will be responsible for establishing product setups and maintaining item data in the ERP systems. This position will ensure data integrity, accuracy, and completeness as it relates to item master data. This position will work closely with other departments to ensure item data flows efficiently within the ERP systems. In addition, this person will assist with managing and updating the data in the ERP.

The Item Maintenance Analyst will be responsible for establishing product setups and maintaining item data in the ERP systems for the 40,000+ items in the medical device formulary. This position will ensure data integrity, accuracy and completeness as it relates to item master data. This position will work closely with other departments to ensure item data flows efficiently within the ERP systems.

Responsibilities*

  • Performs setup of items in ERP and ensures quality of master data in key systems
  • Develops and maintains documentation of processes and supports ongoing maintenance and data integrity
  • Addresses data discrepancies and updates missing information in the ERP when applicable including but not limited to: pricing, item attributes, etc.
  • Completes a variety of preventative maintenance tasks on item master, and other identified data domains to drive a high level of data accuracy and integrity
  • Performs ad-hoc master data analysis and assists with the special projects addressing master data improvements
  • Applies logical and critical thinking skills to identify issues from master data and corrects accordingly.
  • Supports with cross-functional projects that implement master data structures to support business functionalities and reporting
  • Updates pricing including creation, uploads and daily pricing support
  • Works under general supervision using independent judgment to complete required tasks

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • High level of proficiency in business intelligence tools such as Excel, Access, etc.
  • High level of analytical and problem-solving skills sets with the ability to independently identify action items

  • Detail oriented with a demonstrated talent and enthusiasm for investigating and solving problems
  • Exposure to process improvement and LEAN processes
  • Strong communication skillsets both oral and written
  • Strong team player who works collaboratively
  • Good customer service attitude

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
