Job Description


A Postdoctoral Fellow position is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Andrew Lane at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.  

We use a combination of approaches in molecular genetics, immunology, and transcriptomics to investigate the interaction between the immune system and the nasal epithelium in chronic inflammatory disease.  Human tissue samples and genetically-modified animal model systems are utilized .We are particularly interested in basic mechanisms underlying chronic rhinosinusitis, including subcellular pathways impacting progenitor cell physiology, innate immune defense, epithelial repair, and the loss of the sense of smell.  

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a PhD or MD/PhD degree in immunology, molecular biology, cell biology, biomedical computational science or related fields to join our group in a collaborative environment promoting creative scientific research and career development.  Experience preferred in multi-omics data analysis with proficiency in R and data visualization tools for differential expression analysis, pathway enrichment analysis and network analysis.  The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent organizational and communication skills, and critical thinking abilities. Salary is commensurate with experience
